superfantastico

now then, occassionally in this line of work you get a call for a job and your first reaction is "how the hell am I going to do that". The latest one was yesterday, a fantastic opportunity to shoot inside the new York College Building. We got a call from the lovely Corina from Marketing to shoot 469 staff all in one shot in the atrium of their new building. Only one chance at this and a 25min window to shoot in, no matter what the weather (and therefore the ambient light level). We took a top crew of assistants and photographers in to rig the lights, run tests while I was pressing the button and talking (shouting from 4th floor balcony) to the assembled great and good of the college. We nailed the shot and (though our Studio Manager who was running the Macs to check files as they were shot told me she'd never seen me so stressed), it was great fun and great to see all our crew working together on one job. The shot goes public tomorrow in the York Evening Press (hopefully!) so will be up here straight after that.

nice.

That would have been the end of a stressful day but I had to then go home, pick up the kids from nursery and host a childrens tea party for 6m-3y olds. Now THAT was stressful.
