down and out

NOw that was a busy weekend.  WHile mostof you were ( hopefully) getting some well dererved rest over the bank holiday,  we had shoots on Sat , Sun and Monday.

Saturda we were shooting our next brides final dress fitting for a wonderful dress maker Julia Smith (see LINKS).  If the wedding is as much fun as shooting Natasha in that dress, were gonna have a ball, totally looking forward to it.

Sunday we had the wedding of Richard and Natalie Fowler, such bloomin lovely people, great crowd of family and friends and we think we hit a world record for the number of groupshots achieved in an hour.  It was good to see our friends from Special Day Films there as well - great team, great wedding videos, (see LINKS).  Left there very tired after 12 hours on the go, back to the studio, 3 hours of doing backups and recharging and cleaning cameras, then up earlyon MOnday to shoot the Ryedale Festival of Food at Castle Howard.  The press team at the castle are all v cool and after 3 (4?) years of shooting this event for them it all runs very smoothly, some live long lens work for the top chefs doing demonstrations and lots of crowd and stalls shots to show just how busy it was and how much Mr & Mrs general public love getting their hands on the best fresh food in Yorkshire.

Home then for the afternoon, was asked v nicely by Mrs jim poyner to do some DIY then locked myself in the shed with red wine and no children to grab some Zees on the quiet.  Nice.

Obviously we cant p[ost natasha's dress pics as shes wearing it for real next week, but a few tasters from the Fowler's wedding and the Ryedale Food Festival will be up in recent work as soon as poss. (Ive got some serious Lattes to get through before then.

Oh and we did Excellent stuff with some very energetic young learners last week, part of a teaching programme run by http://www.inspiredyouth.org/   Very very committed people producing super edgy youth media productions that actually help the participants progress through the education system no matter how far from the mainstream they are. At the end of 3 hours of teaching them about lighting and shooting and mocking up still images from a film they were working on, we did some Flying to help them let off steam and just for the hell of it. Pic below. MINT!!
